I'm such a loser

The stress of having all three kids at home has been seriously stressful. I have been up late and eating. My fat shorts are tight on me today. I'm so dissapointed in myself. I have been working out but the eating part sucks. I'm just about to leave. I have the whole van pack with waterbottle, scriptures, backpacks, and more stuff. I'm leaving now at 8:00am and wouldn't be back until late tonight. Oh, I thought it would be easier during the summer but were busier than ever before.

Tour De Fun

I'm so proud of my boys. The boys just finished their frist bike race with their dad. I was all sign up to race with the boys but last night my hubby changed his mind and said he wanted to ride with the boys. Which really work out great for me because I took Leah to go blueberry picking while the boys went bike riding.

After picking the berries, we decided to swing by the bike event and watch the boys finish the race. It was prefect timing. A few minutes of arriving...we were able to watch the boys come in. Landon came in first which he was followed by Leroy and Logan. Poor Logan...was really struggling. Leroy had to pull him with his bike a couple of times...it turned out to be hilly course. Well, the boys finish. Logan was followed the whole time by a police escort. Ya, the kids came in dead last but that doesn't matter he finished the course.

Landon of course, was mad dad made him slow down and stay in the back with them. Landon is super competitive and threw a major hissy fit about how dad slowed him down. Landon was promptly taken to the truck for a time out. He came back and was calm down. Oh, the joys of having a competitive child.

The kids did great and they can't wait to do it again. The event was awesome we all received goodie bags, free hot dogs and hamburgers, drinks, and lots of Popsicles.

Overall, a great way to spend a Saturday morning. At least the kids are vegging out in front of the tv that's what I use to do growing up. Watching tv all Saturday morning...what a waste of time and childhood.

Way to go...boys!

Just Me

As some of you know...I just had a birthday not to long ago. I'm official the big 32! Wow, where does all the time go...if you're not careful it can all be over with a blink of the eye.
Well, this past year has been FREAK'N AWESOME! I swear life keeps on getting better every year. The only bad thing is my sister getting breast cancer but she's expected to make a full recovery and hopefully it will never come back.
I managed to lose the weight but I never did reach my ulitmate goal. I give up. My body wants to stay at the current weight and I'm finally okay with it. I was down in Bentonville checking out a club. I'm thinking about joining a boot camp class it starts on Wed. I was walking by and I caught a glimse of reflection in the window. Wow, I look really good. I'm mean really good. It was like the first time, I ever really saw myself not the old fat me but the new smoky hot me. Yes, life is good.
I found out the other day about a sprint triathlon that's happening here in August. I so want to do it. I'm on the fence about the whole thing. The biking and running part doesn't concern me but the swimming part has me freak out. Swimming in a lake here in Bella Vista has me worried plus it would be a lot of time training. Part of me is like it's too much training but another part of me wants to try it out. It's very confusing. What should I do???? Any thoughts...I'm going to try to see how much time it's going to cost me. The kids will be out of school starting on Wed. I feel it's a little bit selfish of me. My hubby's okay with me doing it because he doesn't want me to do a marathon or another half. Argh....well, I'm going to be thinking hard about it. So, I'm off to call about blueberries. It's almost time to start picking.

Mother and Son Running Team

How to kick start the Memorial Day weekend...with a 5k race with my son. I wasn't going to let him run with me becuase last time he kept pulling on my arm trying to get me to slow down. I wasn't happy with him. So, I told him he could run in the fun run mile. He hates running in those one mile runs becuase he thinks that those runs are for babies. Please remember, my son is only 7!

Well, we managed to get up early and head out for the race. I still was on the fence whether I should let him run with me or not. I had a stern talking to him that he would not be running with me. If he couldn't keep up he would have to run by himself. He agree...also no arm pulling.

So, I spent the $40 dollars and sign up the two of us. I really wish it wasn't so expensive. Well, it started of being a nice cool morning but as soon as the race started it started to heat up. We started off...and of course Landon said I was going to fast. ARGHHH!!!!!! I reminded him we weren't running together. I know you'll think I might be mean not slowing down for him but we had an agreement. This race course is one of the fastest course in our area. I wanted to beat my PR! So, he slow down and ended up running a good part of the race with my friend "P"!

As, I came up to the one mile marker. The guy was reading off the time...wow did he just say 8:40. Holy cow...I was smoking hot. I must of slow down afterwards but I'm not sure. It started to get super hot and humid outside. I was trying to keep up with a girl from Rush Running. She's a few years older than me but we are the same height, weight, and built. So, I kept my eyes on her and kept on running.

The second mile was a killer up and down a hill...total sun. They had one water station and I grabbed my cup of water and dump it on top of my head. Oh, did it feel good. I kept on running. I think I started to slow down around the third mile. I kept on pushing. I finally made it back to finish line. I saw the clock read 27:45...Oh, crap! I decided to kick it up into third gear. I managed to finish at 28:05! So, I made my goal but I really would of love to come in under 28 minutes. I was so proud of myself.

I was about to go back and get my backpack so I could take a picture of Landon crossing the finish line. Well, as soon as I turn around...he came right thru the finish line. Holy Cow...my son was running right behind me the whole time. The litttle guy finish a few seconds right after me.

He came in second place for his age group and I came in first place for my age group. I was so shock! I thought maybe 2nd or 3rd place but not 1st place. I was so happy. All of my hardwork is paying off and I love running with my new running club.

LIFE IS GOOD!

5k PR 28:40
2nd Place for his age (11 and under) group
5k PR 28:05
1st place for my age (31-34) group

Week 7 Update

Push Phase is working...I'm only on Week 7 and I'm already starting to see some serious muscles especially in my shoulders! I can't wait until I finish all 12 weeks on the program. I feel stronger than ever. No wonder my eating is out of control. I got some serious muscles. I need fuel to fuel this body. I even managed to lift using 15 lbs for most of the shoulder execrises like arnold press and frontal press. I love FAILING! Failing while during E.C. means success not failure. My arms were shaking so hard. Life is GOOD!

Here's my little girl. She's a big fan of Chalean Extreme. She loves to jump in and work out with me using the bands. It's so cute. Plus my daugther kicks butt. She doesn't put up with any crap. She can put her brothers in their places.

Six Miles

Six miles...the hardest six miles ever!
My friend P, basically guilted me into running with her this morning. It was funny becuase she sleep in and ended up being late. We managed at a super slow pace and some how managed to drag ourselves back to the parking lot. It took us about one hour and fifteen minutes. Most of been all of that junk we ate at the company picnic...free funnel cake, snow cones, bbq, and I had two big lemonades. I know...it was really bad of me. We were both paying for it this morning.
Junk food equals crappy run!
No, I still haven't pick any strawberries. I'm now hoping to go on Monday.
