I decided to not post this on my family board...I'm not sure why but I don't want everyone up in my business if you know what I mean. I really have been struggling for the past eight years gaining some confidence is the parenting arena. I really have been struggling with some issuses with my self confidence and trying really hard to figure out myself. Any time you want to deal with issuses that are not fun it sucks. I really sucks. I have really great kids that act prefect 100% of the time at school but at home it's a compeletely different story. Ummm...I wonder who has the problem. It's ME! I know...it's earth shattering. I have done a good job teaching them morals and standards. I love them way too much and give them too much stuff. I'm not a very discpline person and will run off into a million different directions. Well, life's hard...especially when your hubby tells you that his tried of hearing you on the phone at work complaining about the kids not listening to me. Ya...let's be honest. I wouldn't listen to myself either. Empty threats...I know don't work. I know all of these things. I have read and study the subject. My hubby has told me a million times over that I have to make the kids listen to me. I really don't know for sure what's the issue per see by I'm getting closer to resloving the issue.
So, today...things could of gone really bad. I even called my hubs two times but luckily he didn't answer the phone. I really had to dig deep and have the self control to handle the situation. Instead of blowing my top and losing control. I stayed focused, I look my child into his eyes, I was firm, and he knew I meant business. I decided to not let him perform for me anymore. I will not be his audience when he doesn't get his way. I even went as far as to lock myself in my room and igorne him. It worked...a few minutes later I opened the door and he was sitting on his time out chair.
I feel really good. The kids completely trashed the house and I was able to get them all to help clean up the huge mess. It's not completed done but I'm happy about the progess they did make.
I'm going to be open again...I'm really afraid to confront my kiddos. I have no idea why but I'm always afraid to tell them "no". I'm not sure if it's because I'm worried they will hate me or not love me. I really don't know...I need to keep working on this.
So...I had a really good day.
I was in control of myself, I was confident...and the kids knew I meant business.
I didn't know yell at them.
I didn't give up and sulk and complain about being a bad mom.
The kids will come to respecting me and knowing where the boundaries are at.
I have to know what I want from them first before they will know how to behave.
Like I said my kids are wonderful and special.
I think the biggest issue is that I haven't be consistent and have sent them mixed messages in who's in charge.
No, Landon you are not in charge. It's me!
I'm really hoping for the best...it's only going to get better.
Plus, we have sat down for dinner for two nights in a row and read scriptures at the dinner room table.
Everything is going smoothly. Hopefully, I didn't jinx myself.

Inferno Day 3
The past two days haven't been easy but I really feel like my eating habits are getting better!
I jumped out of bed this morning and thought for sure I would of lost a few pounds.
Well, I was really dissapointed when I didn't lose a single pound.
I feel better so I decided to pull out the measuring tape.
I remeasured myself...well...I remeasured my waist line and I'm down one inch.
My waist was 30 inches and now it's down to 29 inches.
Yippee!!!!!
My abs are my biggest problem. I'm really happy with my arms and legs but the pouchy tummy needs to go.

A New Me
Suriving the Holidays is hard.
All those candies, sugary treats, and stress equal one stressed on Mom.
I managed to pack on a couple of extra pounds.
I'm not happy with myself.

So, I'm recommitted to improving myself and reteaching myself healthy eating habits.
Back in July...I started Turbo Fire. I kicked it off by doing the Inferno Fire 5 day plan. I managed to drop several pounds and I felt amazing. Some how along the way...I lost my focus.
For the next month...it's all about me. Ya, some might say I'm being selfish but I don't care. Taking care of myself is sooo important. A stressed out mom isn't a good mom. I'm really hoping to get myself back into eating heathly and focusing on improving myself.
I'm going to be following the Inferno eating plan but I will be changing up the workout plan.
I'm going to run in a marathon this spring.
The Oz marathon plus I will be running in the Bentonville Half Marathon.
The Oz marathon is April 16th and the half marathon is Apirl 1st.
I can't wait....my hubby doesn't want me to run in a marathon but I don't care. He can deal with it.
I'm going to use MarathonRockie.com training schedule, click here! It's a 16 week schedule. I'm going to have to change it up. I don't like running back to back days. I don't want to hurt myself. I have an arch problem...I don't want it to flare up.
Also, workouting out isn't my problem. I can push myself but eating healthy is my biggest problem. I don't eat fast food but I have a problem with portion control.
Here are my stats:
Dec 27. 2010
chest: 34"
Arms: 11"
Waist: 30"
Hips: 35.5"
Legs: 20"
My biggest problem...waist and hips!
Focus, baby, focus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My current weight which is horrible is 131.5 pounds....my goal is to get back down to 125 pounds!
I'm currently at 23% body fat...I really want to get 20% body fat.
Overall, If I keep blogging and keeping my goals in focus it will happen.
I'm trying really hard to be my personal BEST!

I'm BACK!
I'm back...I took a couple of months off from blogs.
My running pace is faster than ever before.
I PR'd on my lastest 10k race at 57:16!
I'm chubby but it's hard to stay too skinny during the holidays.
I'm lov'n my life at the moment.

Run for a Child 2010
Last Years Time: 58:12
This year they decided to use the same course but they had us go in the opposite direction. The first two miles were uphill. It was not easy. It was so much harder. I'm still happy with my time. I'm still annoyed the clock time as I passed said 57:??. I thought at first, I had bet my time from last year but the clock most of been wrong. I was so disappointed. I managed to keep my pace at 10:00 per mile. I just started to get back into running. I really want to go back to speed training but it's the same time as the boys karate class.
On a side note...my friend Tia came up behind at the end of the race. I was like no way I'm letting her beat me at the end. Ya, I hauled butt and finished before her. It felt awesome. I wouldn't of finished as strong if she wasn't behind me. I'm just a little bit competitive.
Life is Good!
Also, I feel so fat. I need to lose another five pounds.

Week 4 Turbo Fire
End of week 4
My Before: weight 129lbs total inches 158
My Week 4: weight 128 lbs total inches 146.5
My difference weight: one pound weight loss...this is lame. I was able to drop down to 125 which was a four pound loss but I started to put on a ton of muscle. Also, I started running hard core again. My body just started to crave more fuel. I'm starting to think I need more protein in my diet. I'm going to go back to using my fuel tracker and try to eat more protein.
The best part...I lost close to two inches off my hips. This has been a problem area for myself. I seem to hold all of my fat in my hips. My pants are more loose in the hip area which is the best part of the program. All those kicks are starting to pay off.
Recap: lost four pounds but gained back three. Most of this was muscle gain but I made a lot of bad eating choices this week. A bookgroup and baby shower. Why, do they always have to serve such yummy foods. No more baby showers for me.
Also, I managed to lose a grand total of 11.5 inches off my body in four weeks!

4 week update!
Ya, this is what happened when I went back to running. I packed back on the pounds. I managed to gain back four pounds. I feel really low at the moment. Look at my face. Just a few pounds, I look fat. I'm running in a 5k and 10k over Labor day weekend. After the races, I'm going back to Turbo Fire. Yes, I'm running and doing turbo fire at the same time. All it equals is me wanting lots of carbs...I can't seem to help it. I'm going to recommit to my fuel intake journal and try to get less food. I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem. I must say my arms and legs look awesome but my face and belly not so hot anymore. So, that's me...I'm not prefect!

Turbo Fire-Week 2
So, I'm not really sure what my running goals are going to be for the fall. My running friend likes to run with me on Sat. morning. Turbo Fire is so tense...it really leaves me wiped out for the rest of the day. So, do I run or just focus on Turbo Fire! It's so hard. It might be different once all the kids start up school.
My starting weight was 129lbs and my current weight is 125lbs. I managed to drop 4 pounds in two weeks. I love this program!

Turbo Fire
I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally reach my goal! It's only taken me about 18 months to reach it. I'm now down to 125 lbs. I really think my biggest problem was not holding myself accountable for my eating habits. The fuel tracker is awesome. I just write down everything I eat and it makes me accountable. Today, I don't know where I went wrong but I didn't eat at the picnic. I was really proud of myself but as soon as we made it back to the house. I have been eating like crazy. Hopefully, I will be better tomorrow. So, I reach it.

Turbo Fire Week 1
Week One, DONE!
I lost a total of 2.5 lbs!
My hips and butt area...I have managed to lose 1 inch!
Also, I noticed my arms are getting really nice and tight. Not so flabby!
I did the 5 day inferno before going on vacation a month ago. So, this week I started on week 1. I'm starting to wish I would of redone inferno plan but I think I would of came up with the same results.
My starting weight was 129lbs and my current weight 126.5 lbs. This is my lowest weight ever. I still can't seem to get past this no matter how I work out. So, I'm going to be really good about recording all of my food entries into my fuel tracker.
I still need to take my before pics!
Also, all of the workouts are AWESOME.
I did two workouts from C.Extreme. I really want to keep up my upper strength. I still want to get into running but I have to make sure I don't get Obessive. My hubby can only handle me working out so much and being gone. So, running might be put on hold until I'm done with this program. Ya, he still wants to have two more boys. I'm not sure about that being I'm already 32. We will see.

Turbo Fire
I'm almost done with week one. I already lost two pounds this week and the week isn't even over. So, I'm finally getting close to reaching my goal. I'm only a pound and half away. Turbo fire is AWESOME. You burn so many calories. The best part is I'm not strav'n myself. I'm eating non stop but it's all really clean, lean, and healthy foods. I taken in about 2,000 calories. I couldn't be happier. I'm not really into running anymore. I'm burning more calories using turbo fire than running for a straight hour. So, life is good!

Sloving Parenting Problems thru Fitness
I really happy to be back at home. The drive home went really well but it wasn't easy. I managed to drive all 14.5 hours home by myself. I did it. All in one day and no dvd player. The kids had their moments but I handled it. I almost gave up at Knoxville and I was seriously thinking to myself to turn the van around and go back to my parents house but I didn't. It would of been easier if my dvd player would of been working. Oh, well...I'm stronger for it.
Logan is driving me crazy. The little guy just explodes when he gets mad, angry,or fustrated. Full blown kicking, ye lling, and name calling. I started back up to working out. I'm doing a combo of Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme. I'm so sore but I feel really good about myself at the moment. Logan had a couple of break downs. Kicking me in the mouth and being just awful. I successfully put him in time out and we managed to have a good talk afterwards.
Mental strength is gained thru scripture study and fitness. I'm really proud of myself. It's not prefect but it's getting better.
Also, on a happy note: my mother's helper aka the neighbor girl isn't grounded anymore. She's been comiyng over every day hand helping me with the kids.
So, LIFE IS GOOD!
Also, I'm going to find a way to get Logan into martial arts. He really needs to learn how to control himself. I'm going to call around today and see if I can find one for him. I'm really worried about him starting school in a couples of weeks. I have a feel'n it's not going to go well. Logan's my special little boy.

Hi, it's me!
Important note to self...stop being so passive when it comes to the kids. I'm not going to lie but the month of June was horrible. The adjustment at the beginning of summer was really tough for me. I couldn't wait to get to my parents house so they could take over for me. I'm not proud of it but it's the truth of the matter. My mom and dad have done most of all the discipline. I'm really upset for myself letting my parents do my job. Well, I'm going to be leaving tomorrow morning. I really need to recommit myself to do a better job. I need to work on my parenting skills. I really don't want to go home but I need to get real and face the problem head on. Self esteem issues are bubbling up again. Well, I gotta get back to packing it's going to be a long day.

Hot and Humid
It's me...I'm almost back from my month long trip! I headed out with the kiddo's and the camper to my parents house in Eastern TN. A short break to recover from the drive we headed off to Williamsburg VA for a week long visit. After that we headed to the Outer Banks NC.Well, it's been fun but challenging at times. The weather out East is super hot and humid. The weather has made an ideal situation to freak'n hot to want to eat plus we hardly ate out. I also forgot that my mother isn't the greatest cook. Plus, I forgot my parents are really cheap. No eating out. So, it all boil down to eating three simple meals with lots of water.
I started to notice my clothes were getting super loose on me. Yippee!!!! I thought for sure I would gain a ton of weight but I was wrong. My diet is so on. I managed to drop a couple of pounds while living on the road. I'm going to be here until Wed. or Thursday. I'm not looking forward to the drive home. Hopefully, I will be able to do it in one day. I haven't workout in three weeks. I'm going to start up running again on Monday. I wouldn't start up again with Turbo Fire until the following week.

Celebration
90 days of Chalean Extreme...done!
Conquering fears...I hate heights but my mental stronger and push myself to climb to the top of the bike ramp!
I'm about to leave anytime to drive 14 hours pulling a camper to my parents house with three kids.
It's going to be hard but I'm stronger than ever before!

I'm such a loser
The stress of having all three kids at home has been seriously stressful. I have been up late and eating. My fat shorts are tight on me today. I'm so dissapointed in myself. I have been working out but the eating part sucks. I'm just about to leave. I have the whole van pack with waterbottle, scriptures, backpacks, and more stuff. I'm leaving now at 8:00am and wouldn't be back until late tonight. Oh, I thought it would be easier during the summer but were busier than ever before.

Tour De Fun
I'm so proud of my boys. The boys just finished their frist bike race with their dad. I was all sign up to race with the boys but last night my hubby changed his mind and said he wanted to ride with the boys. Which really work out great for me because I took Leah to go blueberry picking while the boys went bike riding.
After picking the berries, we decided to swing by the bike event and watch the boys finish the race. It was prefect timing. A few minutes of arriving...we were able to watch the boys come in. Landon came in first which he was followed by Leroy and Logan. Poor Logan...was really struggling. Leroy had to pull him with his bike a couple of times...it turned out to be hilly course. Well, the boys finish. Logan was followed the whole time by a police escort. Ya, the kids came in dead last but that doesn't matter he finished the course.
Landon of course, was mad dad made him slow down and stay in the back with them. Landon is super competitive and threw a major hissy fit about how dad slowed him down. Landon was promptly taken to the truck for a time out. He came back and was calm down. Oh, the joys of having a competitive child.
The kids did great and they can't wait to do it again. The event was awesome we all received goodie bags, free hot dogs and hamburgers, drinks, and lots of Popsicles.
Overall, a great way to spend a Saturday morning. At least the kids are vegging out in front of the tv that's what I use to do growing up. Watching tv all Saturday morning...what a waste of time and childhood.
Way to go...boys!

Just Me
Well, this past year has been FREAK'N AWESOME! I swear life keeps on getting better every year. The only bad thing is my sister getting breast cancer but she's expected to make a full recovery and hopefully it will never come back.
I managed to lose the weight but I never did reach my ulitmate goal. I give up. My body wants to stay at the current weight and I'm finally okay with it. I was down in Bentonville checking out a club. I'm thinking about joining a boot camp class it starts on Wed. I was walking by and I caught a glimse of reflection in the window. Wow, I look really good. I'm mean really good. It was like the first time, I ever really saw myself not the old fat me but the new smoky hot me. Yes, life is good.
I found out the other day about a sprint triathlon that's happening here in August. I so want to do it. I'm on the fence about the whole thing. The biking and running part doesn't concern me but the swimming part has me freak out. Swimming in a lake here in Bella Vista has me worried plus it would be a lot of time training. Part of me is like it's too much training but another part of me wants to try it out. It's very confusing. What should I do???? Any thoughts...I'm going to try to see how much time it's going to cost me. The kids will be out of school starting on Wed. I feel it's a little bit selfish of me. My hubby's okay with me doing it because he doesn't want me to do a marathon or another half. Argh....well, I'm going to be thinking hard about it. So, I'm off to call about blueberries. It's almost time to start picking.

Mother and Son Running Team
How to kick start the Memorial Day weekend...with a 5k race with my son. I wasn't going to let him run with me becuase last time he kept pulling on my arm trying to get me to slow down. I wasn't happy with him. So, I told him he could run in the fun run mile. He hates running in those one mile runs becuase he thinks that those runs are for babies. Please remember, my son is only 7!
Well, we managed to get up early and head out for the race. I still was on the fence whether I should let him run with me or not. I had a stern talking to him that he would not be running with me. If he couldn't keep up he would have to run by himself. He agree...also no arm pulling.
So, I spent the $40 dollars and sign up the two of us. I really wish it wasn't so expensive. Well, it started of being a nice cool morning but as soon as the race started it started to heat up. We started off...and of course Landon said I was going to fast. ARGHHH!!!!!! I reminded him we weren't running together. I know you'll think I might be mean not slowing down for him but we had an agreement. This race course is one of the fastest course in our area. I wanted to beat my PR! So, he slow down and ended up running a good part of the race with my friend "P"!
As, I came up to the one mile marker. The guy was reading off the time...wow did he just say 8:40. Holy cow...I was smoking hot. I must of slow down afterwards but I'm not sure. It started to get super hot and humid outside. I was trying to keep up with a girl from Rush Running. She's a few years older than me but we are the same height, weight, and built. So, I kept my eyes on her and kept on running.
The second mile was a killer up and down a hill...total sun. They had one water station and I grabbed my cup of water and dump it on top of my head. Oh, did it feel good. I kept on running. I think I started to slow down around the third mile. I kept on pushing. I finally made it back to finish line. I saw the clock read 27:45...Oh, crap! I decided to kick it up into third gear. I managed to finish at 28:05! So, I made my goal but I really would of love to come in under 28 minutes. I was so proud of myself.
I was about to go back and get my backpack so I could take a picture of Landon crossing the finish line. Well, as soon as I turn around...he came right thru the finish line. Holy Cow...my son was running right behind me the whole time. The litttle guy finish a few seconds right after me.
He came in second place for his age group and I came in first place for my age group. I was so shock! I thought maybe 2nd or 3rd place but not 1st place. I was so happy. All of my hardwork is paying off and I love running with my new running club.
LIFE IS GOOD!

Week 7 Update
Push Phase is working...I'm only on Week 7 and I'm already starting to see some serious muscles especially in my shoulders! I can't wait until I finish all 12 weeks on the program. I feel stronger than ever. No wonder my eating is out of control. I got some serious muscles. I need fuel to fuel this body. I even managed to lift using 15 lbs for most of the shoulder execrises like arnold press and frontal press. I love FAILING! Failing while during E.C. means success not failure. My arms were shaking so hard. Life is GOOD!

Six Miles
Six miles...the hardest six miles ever!
My friend P, basically guilted me into running with her this morning. It was funny becuase she sleep in and ended up being late. We managed at a super slow pace and some how managed to drag ourselves back to the parking lot. It took us about one hour and fifteen minutes. Most of been all of that junk we ate at the company picnic...free funnel cake, snow cones, bbq, and I had two big lemonades. I know...it was really bad of me. We were both paying for it this morning.
Junk food equals crappy run!
No, I still haven't pick any strawberries. I'm now hoping to go on Monday.

Rough Week, again!
I have managed to gain another pound this week. It's really hard to eat healthily. Last night, Logan had his Preschool Class Program. I seriously had like four chocolate chip cookies. I felt really dumb when I realize it was only me and the kids eating the cookies. None of the other moms were pigging out on the cookies. Seriouslly, no self control. So, I'm going to try to be good over the weekend and start over again next week:(
Also, I decided to drive out to TN pulling the camper by myself. I really wanted to fly my dad out to help me with the driving but I decided it would be good to push myself again. I can be the biggest baby ever. I'm going to suck it up and do it by myself. I don't need a man to help me with every little thing in my life. I'm going to take two days to drive the whole trip. It's fourteen hours. I'm going to make a couple of stops a long the way with the kids to break up the trip and stay over night in Jacksonville, TN.
The trip is almost plan out. My mom booked the campground in Williamsburg becuase she can get a senior discount. I still need to call later on today for the campgrounds in the Outer Banks. Hopefully, my sister and her husband can join us at the outer banks for a couple of days. They live in Maryland. So, we will be gone for the month of July.
I seriously can't wait to hit the beach in my new beach body. If I could just get the food thing under control. I really good in the morning and at lunch but I seem to go down hill in the evenings.
I'm going to spend the rest of the day in the yard. So, I'm sure to burn a bazillion calories today.

Big Blue
Last night, I plan out my whole day. I knew I had a lot of things to juggle. I had to make cupcakes for Logan's preschool class, workout, read scriptures, and had over to the church to fill/pick up my food storage order. Everything was going according to plan. I finally managed to get everyone and everything loaded up to go but I couldn't get the van to start. Dead battery! What to do????? No way, I could just have Logan skip school or not go to church. The only option left was to take the big blue beast.
I have never driven my hubby's truck before let me state this again "MY HUBBY'S TRUCK"...Leroy left his cell phone at home and I had to drop if off at another office location. I really didn't want to take his truck but I did it. Logan was so shock when I told him we were taking daddy's truck. Logan was like " you can drive dad's truck". Well, I guess it can't be too hard. This truck is massive. I'm talking about Ford F 350, crew cab, 4x4, and did I mention it's a diesil.

I just kept telling myself. I could do it and hopefully without ruining it. This truck is like driving a semi. We said a quick prayer and headed out to drop of Logan. Yes, I did let the truck for a few minutes before pulling out. Well, Logan was shouting out of the truck window that his mom was driving his daddy's truck. He was so proud of me. I could barely reach the pedals. This is a real man's truck. Well, I had to get on the interstate and head over to Leroy's office. Well, I pull up in the truck and he just about died. He couldn't believe it. You should of seen the look of shock on his face. He gave me some tips. I'm gald I didn't run around town in it becuase the truck started to buck. Time to switch over the gas tanks. Yes, I did it. We managed to swing by the church and dry pack most of my food storage order. I just wanted to thank three of my friends for coming by the church to help me. I didn't even ask for help...they just decided to stop off and help me. I love having great friends. Some of my closest friends at church are in the over 60 crowd. I just love them! So, I loaded up the truck and headed home. Oh no, another challenge. I had to back up the truck and drive it down the sidedrive way to the basement. Remember, I live on the Lake. A steep downhill with a sharp turn. I had to do this all by myself with my head turnback to make sure I didn't hit the house or go off the driveway. I was shaking in my boots. I just kept telling myself not to listen to my negative self talk but to talk in a postive voice. Well, I did it. I managed to safely get it to the back side of the house and get the food unloaded. I have pictures to prove it. I also learned how to dry pack my food which I have never done before. My other friend just called and she's coming over to help me seal all of my mylar bags. Yes, life is good.
Leroy was shock to see me driving his truck he had to take a picture of me behind the wheel!
So, you might be wondering what does driving a truck and execrise have to do with each other. A lot...I have notice that lifting weights and running has made me so much mental stronger. I would of never attempted to drive my hubby's truck becuase the thing scares me. I suck it up and did it. I overcame one of my fears. I push myself...just like I do when I work out! If your struggling with self-confidence than start working out. You will discover how strong you really are.

munchies
I try realy hard not to eat after 7:00pm. Well, last night...at book group. I decided to go ahead and have a couple of treats. Oh, boy! Did I pay for it later on. Last night, I could hardly sleep my stomach was really bothering me. Too much food...way too late at night. Next time, I need to be a little stronger and resist the tempation. Feel'n like equals not enough goodnight sleep which is making me feel crappy. Really wish they didn't serve food at every church function. It's really hard on the body. I haven't lost any weight this week. I really need to work on my diet. I really would like to cut back on all white food products like white bread and rice but I just love those carbs maybe next week.

Push Circuit
I loves this circuit. It's my favorite. It's during this push circuit that you really start to see the muscles building. Not the greatest pictures...my three year old really trys hard like I said she's 3! Well, I'm really pleased with my progress. I managed to gain a couple of pounds last week due to family being in town. I thought it would be fun to make homemade bread yesterday...I ended up eating a loaf by myself. Dumb!!!!!! I'm really regretting it now. It's really hard to back in the swing of things. My friend called this morning to go strawberry picking. I told her "NO" which was really hard because I need to stay home and get my workout in. I know if I would of gone picking I wouldn't of workout later on in the day. So, progress is coming. The working out part is going good but the diet is really bad at the moment. I really don't want to even cook but then my family ends up suffering. Okay, I got to go finish up the burns interval video and finish up the gardening bed.

TurboFire Infomercial - Chalene Johnson's Most Intense Workout Ever
How did I not know about this new program. I just finish watching the video and I can't wait to try it out. It's not going to be available until July 1st. I should be done with C.E. by the time I can get this video. It's perfect for Cardio lovers like me! I can barely wait!!!!! Who's in with me. Yes...I'm ready for a good challenge!

Goals

I'm hoping to drop about two pounds this week. Family reunions are brutal especially when you're stuck cooking for the whole family. It was fun...but know it times to get back into the swing of things.
Eating crap isn't worth it. It just leaves you feel'n sluggish. Last night, I was munching away on some potato chips and after a couple of chips...I had to put it away. Gross...junk food is crap. I'm going on a cleanse. All fruits and veggies for me. I need to pull out my juicer and get busy.
Also...I just plan my summer vacation with the kids no hubby. My hubby doesn't like travel plus a party pooper. He just like to hang out in his garage and work on cars. A total homebody. I'm headed out to the OUTER BANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! I want to look really good while at the beach. Last time, we went to Gulf Shores and I was my old fat self. It was really embarrassing...I wouldn't post the pictures. Leroy went clothes shopping with me to get a new swimsuit and clothes for the trip. I had to go with a whole size larger than I normally wear. I was still in denial about my weight that was back in 2008! This time...no elastic pants for me at the beach. Also, we are going to Williamsburg VA, Jamestown, Monticello, and a water park before heading down to the Outer Banks NC.

Bentonville Gold Rush
Inspiration...where does it come from? It comes from over coming challegnes that come our way. My sister discovered that she had breast cancer almost exactly one year ago. She is almost done with all of her treatments. Hopefully, it will never come back. When we have to face horrible situations and we have to head them straight on and meet the challenge that is when character is built.
I decided to start running in honor of my sister. I did my first 5k run for the Susan G. Komen last year. I wasn't able to attend that race this year due to schedule issues. I was so happy when I found out that my sister would like to run in this race tonight with us. My sister isn't fit enough at this point to run 5k but she ran one mile with my youngest son Logan. They ended up running out of bid numbers which really bum my sister but they will mail her a t-shirt which they also manage to run out of as well. A bazillion people were at this race. CRAZY!!!!!!!
Logan ran the whole mile by himself. He literally sprinted the whole thing. My poor sister could barely keep up with him. My sister was very proud of herself. She had a big smile on her face. When she gets back home, she wants to start working out.
Landon and I ran in the 5k race together. Originally, Landon was suppose to run with Logan but he wanted to run the 5k. The 5k was sold out so I had him run with me. The race started out slow...a ton of people. Landon kept grabbing my arm trying to slow me down. I told him if he could keep up to just run by himself. Slowly, I managed to increase my speed. I started off super slow but I kick it into gear.
As I approach the finish line...I saw the clock. Wow...my time was better than expected. I thought for sure I would have a horrible time but I didn't. It's not my best time but it was a big improvement over my last 5k race.
I came in at 29: 16 and Landon came in at 29:40!
Also, I thought Landon was way behind me but he wasn't the little guy was right behind my heels. I'm so proud of all of my sons and my sisters.
Inspiring each other is the greatest gift we can give each other. Getting fit as a family is AWESOME.
If we could only get my husband on board. His all muscle and fit but he can't run for anthing.
My sister and her husband are driving home tonight back to Chicago. I'm going to bed!

It's hard
I cooking for 16 people at the moment. I mean cooking and baking. I'm literally in the kitchen all day long preparing all of the food. It's a huge task. The temptation is great. I haven't gain any weight yet but it's really hard to be good when your making your awesome Chocolate Sheet Cake and homemade french vanilla icecream. It's going to be so hard to be good. Yikes...I'm going to have to make some really good choices and keep my hands so busy I wouldn't be tempted to jam my face with food. I just finish prepping to make a huge crockpot full of sloppy joe for dinner tomorrow. It's going to be an easy dinner. We're going to the Animal Safari and Natural's ball game!

Blast From The Past
This picture was taken Xmas 2008! We had a big family reunion here with all of my family. This was the picture that made me want to lose the weight. I'm at my heaviest weight 150 pounds. I didn't gain this weight from having three kids. Oh no...I gain this from not taking time for myself. I was so busy giving myself completely to my kids and hubby that I gain a huge amount of weight. When we got the pictures back...I was shocked. This is the picture that made me want to make myself a priority.
s
Well, we're having another family reunion this week. I'm so excited to see my whole family again even my brother and his family are coming from England. They're moving back to the states. Yippee!!! Well, here I'm now a lot cuter and skinner.

C.E. Week 3
Sorry, about the last post. It doesn't make any sense. Sometimes, life gets in the way of my blogging. Thanks to the kiddos...I serious don't make sense. The few people that still read this blog must be a good friend to me becuase I seriously lack in writting skills.
I just finished the third week of C.E. My arms are coming along nicely. Leah my little girl took this picture for me. As you can see...three nice bumps on my shoulders and arms. The muscle is coming along. I still need to work on my flabby arms but it will come with time. I really want to look nice this summer.
Leah came down sick with a fever. It's raining like cats and dogs. I decided it would be best to skip the 5k in the morning. If for some reason...the weather clears up and Leah recovers I will have my friend come over and watch the kiddos.
Leroy went to Tulsa with a friend from work. His co-worker is racing his car. Leroy and Matt are suppose to be camping in the camper but the weather is super crazy at the moment. I have a feeling their going to be so wet.
Well, I have family coming in town in a couple of days. I still need to finish up a 100 things before everyone starts to show up.

Speed
I will being running this race again but this time in much better shape.
I was running this race with pure determination.
I was huff and puffing the whole way.
This time I'm going to beat my time from last year which was 29:49! I just look back and I came in 10th place for the woman division out of 44!
10 Lara Scheele Bella Vista 30 9:37 29:49.0Changing my focus...I could care less about distance at the moment. I'm really trying to focus on my speed. I know that I can run a half marathon. I have done it two times now...I'm ready to conquer my 5k PR which is 27:26 from the last 4th of July 5k race on a hilly course.
I decided to attend Rush Running Speeding training at the local school's track. It was so much fun. It reminded me of track in High School. The first week...I was so sore. This week...I'm not sore at all. I was sick over the weekend and decided to take it easy. I'm so ready to push myself.
I want to run at an uncomfortable fast pace in order to get to comfortable with my new speed.
I jump on the treadmill this morning. I did a five minute warm up at speed 3...20 minutes at speed 6 which is a pace of 10:00, 5 minutes at speed 7 which is 8:30 pace, and finally 3 minutes at speed 8 which is at a pace of 7:00 minute mile. Wow...I managed to run 3 miles in 29 minutes. I was so dying at the end of the workout. I really wanted to end it early but I push myself to finish up at three miles.
I'm going to be running in another 5k this weekend.

Race For The Cure
This is the picture from completing my very first 5k! One week before the race...My sister found out that she had breast cancer. It really scary but my sister is doing great. She's almost done with all of her treatments. I decided it would be great to run in honor of my sister. This race was so hard. I thought the three miles would never end. I would of never thought that from this race I would eventually run a half marathon. At this point...I wasn't my heaviest but I still needed to lose a ton of weight. Look at my double chin...yuck! I think it was a round the same time I was starting up with Chalean Extreme. I managed to complete my race in under 32 minutes. I was so proud of myself...in a couple of months I reach my goal of finishing a 5k in 27 minutes. It's amazing how much a person can change in such a short time period. I'm sorry that I wouldn't be able to run in the Race For The Cure this year due to schedule difficulty. So, if you're running this weekend...think about my awesome sister.

update
Okay...I managed to gain back two pounds. Not too bad. My feel'n a little bit better at the moment. I'm going to try to go running this morning. I really feel awful about all the cake I had last night at the party. I need to burn off some serious calories.
Sick
It all started to go down hill after attending a speed traing session with Rush Running. The workout was AMAZING. At the end of the session, they had us all do plyos. Wow...I was warned by several other runners to be prepared to be sore. I thought...it wouldn't be to bad because I thought I was in shape. The next morning, I rolled out of bed and my legs and glutes were killing me. I ended up missing two workouts due to extremely sore legs plus my allergies are killing me.
So, between feeling like crap and not execrising. I have managed to gain back some weight. I hate the fact that I gave in and decided to go back to my old eating ways. After being good for two full weeks. I couldn't do it. Being sick...just makes me weak.
Last night at Enrichment...I had several slices of Chocolate cake. I don't even want to get on the scale. I feel like crap at the moment. My nose will not stop running. Well, I'm going to recommitt myself to my diet and workout program. My legs feel good but my sinus are still killing me. Hopefully, next week things will start to improve.

keep'n it real
Working out at home has its challenges. First off the house isn't always as clean as it should be you will see from the picture below trying to do push up inbetween crap isn't always the prefect situation. It's early Monday morning and the house is still trying to recover from the weekend. Secondly...I can wear what ever I want while working out. I couldn't find any execrise shorts so I'm wearing a pair of bathing suit bottoms. They look like shorts but their swim shorts. Thirdly, the kids get bored sometimes watching me workout. So, Leah decided it would be fun to take pictures of me working out. So...it's not always easy to fit in a workout with kids and a messy house but I seem to be able to manage a good workout.

Bentonville FireFighter 5k
Last night...I found out about this race. All last night, I toss and turn in my sleep. I wasn't sure if I should run in the race or not. I couldn't make up my mind. I ended up waking up early and decided it would be fun to go as family. Somehow...we talk Daddy into coming with us. Landon wanted to run in the 5k with me but Logan can only about one mile. So...Daddy did the walk/run 1 mile with Logan and Landon ran with me.
The Bentonville Firefighters decided to host this race to raise money for a statue to be place in front of the fire house. At first the lady told me it would cost $75 for all three of us to run. I was like no way...I wouldn't have the kids run. Well, the lady talk to someone else and decided to make kids under 10 FREE! Yes, it only cost us $25 for the whole family to run.
Landon hasn't done any training for the race except for going to gym class once a week and attending gymnastics. I was worried about him but he did great.
Landon and I took off at a good pace. Landon wanted to take off super fast but I kept holding him back. I was really worried he would burn out before finishing the race. Well, we managed to run the whole course without stopping. Okay...we did walk a little bit around the second mile due to Landon being out of breath. We finish the race strong. We were side by side but I managed to pull in front of Landon at the finish line.
Lara 5k 29:55-not my best time but I was running with Landon.
Landon 5k 30:30-This was Landon's best time...He took two minutes off his best time.
Leroy and the kids were waiting for us at the finish line. I was so surprised to see one of my running friends at the finish line cheering us on. She decided to stop on her way home from her morning run and cheer us on.
After the race...the fireman cooks a really nice breakfast and they had a raffle. Landon was able to go up to the front and help with the drawing the raffle tickets. Logan and Landon came away with their own knife sets.

Hitting the Floor
I just reach a new goal...
1) tricep pushup
2) regular pushup
3) spiderman pushup
Three sets of each...didn't get on my knees once. I did all of these on my toes. It's only been one week back on CE and I'm already reaching new goals.

Hunger Pains
Recent case of gaining weight due to overeating. Last week, I realized that I was never hungry. I was getting all the time and gaining weight at a fast rate. I think this happens to a lot of people. It's good to feel hungry. You should eat like a baby...a baby will only eat when it's hungry it should be the same way with adults. So, I'm learning to listen to my body again. Not just shoving food into my mouth. I know if I wake up in the morning and I'm not hungry. It's a sign of two things either I ate way too late at night or ate to much at dinner. I got up this morning and it felt great to feel hungry. Hopefully, I will get back in tune to reading my body signals and be able to avoid overeating. I'm not starving myself but I just getting real with myself. I'm not a young fry anymore. I use to eat what ever I wanted but I can't do that anymore. Let's face it...I'm getting older.

update
I'm happy to report that I lost 2 pounds this week.
All of my hard work is starting to pay off.
I'm going to try to focus on losing another 2 pounds.
I'm working out hard and running a ton.
My goal is just to get back into my skinny jeans.
I can only get them up half way up my thighs.
Once, the jeans fit I'm going to work on maintance and not focusing on losing weight.

Not To Be Mess With...
I'm finally back into working out my body and mind. After taking a break and feel'n like crap. I decided it was time to get back into the workout groove. I packed on a couple of pounds...you might not think that's a big deal but I really can tell it makes a huge difference. My arms and belly feel super soft and jiggly. I hate that feel'n. I want to feel lean, tight, and strong.
I'm back to working out to Chalean Extreme. Chalene is the most amazing couch. I love her videos so uplifting, fun, and inspiring. I know the videos work great for ME! I'm going to be doing all of her video not just some of the videos like I have in the past. It was around this time last year that I started my first phase of Chalean Extreme. I wouldn't post the pictures but it was really bad. I had these huge rolls of fat on my back. I will not be going back to that ever again.
I know there's been some talk about woman needing to have "me" time and how that can be a negative if it's taken to far. I use to never take any "me" time and I ended up fat, depress, and miserable. Every mom deserves to take one hour a day to workout. I'm sorry some might disagree with me but I know for my own mental and well being. I need to workout. Just like reading your scriptures to build up your spiritual growth. It's important for your mental health as well. So...don't feel guilty. I'm a better person, wife, and mother because I workout.
I'm going back to Chalean...but this round. I decided to change things up. I'm using these Resistance Bands.

Resistance Bands are no JOKE!
I tried the bands back when I first started to workout and hated it. I was too slow trying to change up the bands with each segment. I decided to change things up and give the resistance bands another try. Let me tell you they are not to be messed with. Wow...I never sweated so much in my life. It was by far the hardest workout ever. I'm going to try to do this whole next round using hte resistance bands. I have a feel'n I'm going to be super sore in the morning.
Also...my best friend just had a baby a couple of weeks ago. She had back to back c-sections and two babies in less than two years. I decided to give her the Brazil Butt Lift videos. She's so excited and can't wait to start losing the weight. It's really nice being able to coach someone. She just called to ask about meal plans and the best place to buy fresh produce. I'm so excited for her. I personally can't image working out with a newborn and 17 month old but she's going to do it. Anyways...I will keep you posted on her progress as well.
back to workout again but this time to Hip Hop Abs. Shaun T. is calling my name.
